Corleone (PA)

Rif. # 033

Corleone is located between the Rocca Sottana and the Soprana, on top of the Saracen tower, and has a rich architectural heritage especially in the historic center. The town, due to the very numerous presence of religious buildings, has been named “the town of a hundred churches”; among the most famous are the Capuchin Convent, the Monastery of the Most Holy Savior, the Church of Sant’Agostino and that of San Domenico. The answer given by the municipality of Corleone after having been the bulwark of many mafia gangs is certainly worth underlining; in fact the country has acquired the title of "World Capital of Legality" by virtue of the numerous social campaigns against crime.
